Adelaide | Sukhmani Basran, PT
Sukhmani Basran is a Registered Physiotherapist with a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy (2016) and has specialized training in pelvic health physiotherapy.
Her passion for pelvic health grew from her own experience through pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Navigating the changes in her body gave her a deep appreciation for how life-changing pelvic health physiotherapy can be — and inspired her to help others feel strong, confident, and supported during similar transitions.
You should book with me if you’re ready to take control of your body and stop letting pain, leaks, or discomfort hold you back.
If you are someone experiencing any of the following, I can help you:
• “Fed up with spending $200 a month on incontinence pads?”
• “Frustrated that you still feel bloated and stuck, no matter how much water, fibre, or laxatives you take?”
• “Tired of avoiding intimacy because of pain?”
• “Wish someone had told you pregnancy doesn’t have to mean back pain, leaking, or feeling like your body isn’t your own?”
• “Sick of planning your day around where the closest bathroom is, or feeling like you always need to ‘hold things in’?”
• “Exhausted from always needing to know where the bathroom is — just in case?”
• “Embarrassed to talk about pain or dryness in the bedroom, but wishing things could feel good again?”
• “Want to pick up your baby, return to the gym, or play your favourite sport without pain holding you back?”
In addition to pelvic health, she also treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, such as back and neck pain, sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, arthritis, and postural concerns. Because she integrates both pelvic health and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, her approach looks at the body as a whole to uncover the root cause of symptoms.
Sukhmani uses a hands-on, exercise-based approach, and incorporates advanced techniques such as manual therapy, myofascial release, IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization), and cupping. What she values most, though, is empowering patients with knowledge and creating individualized treatment plans that restore confidence and independence.
Fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi, Sukhmani connects with patients across diverse communities. She feels most proud when patients regain control of their bodies and their lives — whether it’s being able to run, play sports, lift their children comfortably, enjoy intimacy without fear, or simply live each day without constantly worrying about leaks or discomfort.
Outside the clinic, she loves spending time with her family.
