Adelaide | Rebecca Ariss, RMT

Registered Massage Therapist
Rebecca has been immersed in natural healing for the past decade. What started as a drive in personal growth and healing has journeyed into a passion for helping others. Her compassion and curious nature motivate her to explore and integrate new techniques and therapeutic modalities that aid her clients on their path to optimal health and wellness.

She graduated from the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy in 2017. Rebecca also completed her 500-hour advanced yoga teacher training at Yogaspace in Toronto in 2015. The advanced specializations include vinyasa, hatha, restorative, limited mobility, arm balances and inversions, prenatal, and pranayama (breath-work). In treatment, Rebecca utilizes trigger point and fascial release therapy, rhythmic mobilizations, range of motion and other movement therapies.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?
My work as a massage therapist is focused on identifying and healing the root cause of discomfort. I guide the mind and body back to a balanced state with the understanding that these two halves must be relaxed for healing to take place.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?
I specialize in treating jaw pain (TMJ dysfunction), shoulder injuries, and postural imbalances. I capitalize on my placements at Fife House and the Toronto Rehab Institute.

What are you proud of in your practice?
I combine massage with breath awareness along with my knowledge of human anatomy, yoga, and meditation to facilitate functional movement and a sense of well-being in order to promote holistic recovery. I practice Vipassana meditation having attended seven 10-day silent meditation retreats.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
I am passionate about treating complex cases as I enjoy being challenged in my knowledge of assessment. For me, the process of rehabilitation of each client means growth of the therapist too.
