Adelaide | Steven (Young Chan) Bae, RMT
Before working as an RMT, I studied business and worked in retail for about 10 years. I pursued the RMT career path initially wanting to help my parents and then branched out to help others to move and feel better.
If I am not practicing, I am most likely exercising, doing continuous learning, or playing a lot of video games
Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?
As an RMT, I take great pride in ensuring all my clients have an exceptional experience with their treatments. I can quickly adapt between different styles of treatment from holistic relaxation treatment to a more technical rehabilitation approach, as needed. My adaptability combined with my knowledge and interpersonal skills allows me to establish compatibility with new and concurrent clients.
What are the top 3 treatments that you specialize in?
My personal 3 are Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue, and Trigger Point Release techniques. I am constantly improving and discovering new modalities to equip my therapeutic arsenal. Still, those 3 are the main techniques that I apply when I am giving Sports, Rehabilitation, or Relaxation treatments.
What are you proud of in your practice?
I am proud when I can help my clients educate themselves about their bodies, and ask me any questions they may have; helping them make progress that much faster. I always encourage my clients to consistently exercise for their treatments to have a lasting effect. When I see my clients putting in a great effort, it leads to great strides in their rehabilitation progress, and that motivates me to do far better in the future.
Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
While equipped to treat most issues, I gravitate towards cases that are more upper body focused, such as; Lower Back Pain, Headaches/Neck pain, Shoulder, and Forearm pains. Amongst the sedentary lifestyle populace, I find these areas of complaint very common. I also have a special interest in treating TMJ dysfunction and carpal tunnel-related issues, as I grew up playing a lot of video games myself and have experienced those same issues.
