Yonge & Bloor | Woong (Mike) Park, RAc
Mike Park is a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac), with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO).
Mike Park has been in the health and wellness industry for the past 18 years in both a clinical and private setting.
He first worked as a Holistic Nutritionist, helping those with digestive issues and diabetes, which then led him to pursue Personal Training and Corrective Exercises (getting certified from the CHEK Institute), to help those with weight loss management issues.
In the past 8 years, he has completed his studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine to become a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac), and Manual Osteopath (DOMP).
Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?
I practice a style of Japanese acupuncture that’s known for its precise diagnosis and gentle needling, and combine it with the principles and techniques of manual osteopathy, fascia stretch technique, holistic nutrition, lifestyle coaching and corrective exercise. I’ve also had the great fortune of interning under renowned acupuncturist Takamasa Tsurusaki in Toronto, Mitsunori Seino in Tokyo, Shi Hyung Lee in Seoul, and Physical Therapist Rory Mullin.
What are you proud of in your practice?
I am grateful that I get to practice as an acupuncturist, and make a positive difference in the lives of my patients and the community.
What are the top 3 treatments you focus on?
Because I have personally suffered from many sports injuries and stress induced Adrenal fatigue, I focus on:
- chronic neck, low back, and ankle issues
- adrenal fatigue and chronic fatigue syndromes
- insomnia and digestive issues
