Yonge & St Clair | Bhoomi Rajgor, PT
I completed my Bachelor’s in Physiotherapy and my Master’s in Physiotherapy, Community-Based Rehabilitation in India, where I gained experience in private clinics, hospitals, and community centres. After receiving my licensing in Ontario, I began practising in Toronto, and I have now been treating patients here for the past year and a half. I bring together hands-on care, patient education, and evidence-informed rehabilitation to help people move better and manage their conditions with confidence. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my cats, Cassie and Frodo, cooking, and exploring the city.
1. Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?
“I am a Registered Physiotherapist with more than 9 years of experience in manual therapy and soft tissue mobilization, and a Master’s in Community-Based Rehabilitation. I focus on practical, lasting recovery, with a plan built around your goals and daily life. My training also includes functional intramuscular stimulation (FIMS) and all three levels of the Pelvic Health Solutions (PHS) courses, so I can help with a broad range of conditions.”
2. What are the top 3 treatments that you specialize in?
“My top three are manual therapy with soft tissue mobilization, functional IMS, and patient education. Hands-on care and functional IMS help reduce pain, release tension, and restore movement. Education is just as important. When you understand what is happening in your body and what helps, you can manage your condition better between visits and prevent it from returning.”
3. What are you proud of in your practice?
“I’m proud of helping people who were told to live with their pain get back to doing what they love. I’m also proud of my commitment to lifelong learning. Alongside my Master’s degree and my pelvic health training, I have attended many workshops and plan to keep attending more. I regularly review current research and practice standards, because healthcare keeps evolving and I want my treatment to reflect what the evidence supports. For you, that means care that is safe, effective, and up to date, with techniques chosen for their results rather than habit. It also means I can explain clearly why we are doing each part of your plan. I take pride in listening carefully, explaining clearly, and treating everyone with respect.”
4. Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
“I enjoy treating low back pain because no two backs are alike. Pain is rarely just a muscle or joint problem. The nerves, the fascia, your posture and breathing, your stress levels, and even your work and sleep habits can all play a part. I take the time to understand how these systems fit together, then tailor your rehab program to your lifestyle and goals instead of using a one-size-fits-all plan.
I also enjoy treating temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and pelvic health concerns because they show how connected the body is. The jaw and the pelvic floor are linked through your breathing, posture, and the fascia running through your core, and tension in one can influence the other. Jaw clenching, for example, often goes along with pelvic floor tightness. Looking at the whole picture can lead to better results than treating one area alone. I also enjoy musculoskeletal injuries and pre and post-operative rehab, because it is rewarding to see people move from pain and uncertainty to strength and independence.”
