Yonge & Bloor | Pranom Bierca, RMT

Pranom’s journey in the massage therapy field started in 2009 when she received her diploma of Thai Traditional Massage Program from the Institute of Thai Traditional Medical in Thailand. She then pursued a career opportunity as a Thai Massage Therapist in Poland where she worked from 2009 to 2017.

After coming to Canada in 2019, Pranom furthered her studies in massage therapy at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy and the Pharma-Medical Science College of Canada where she graduated in 2021.

In her spare time, you can find Pranom helping her spouse to create personal training programs or taking her family for physical activities such as rock climbing.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

I think that all practitioners are good in different styles of treatment and they are unique. My treatment style includes a combination of therapeutic treatment and Thai traditional massage techniques where I balance pressure, stretching, and relaxation. My main focuses are on my patients’ needs and finding ways to best address their primary concerns.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

I provide deep tissue in combination with Thai traditional massage techniques. I also include various techniques such as trigger point therapy or myofascial release therapy to relieve stress/tension. I love to provide remedial exercises and home care to help patients get the full benefit of their massage therapy treatment and to improve their conditions.

P.S. You can ask me to add on “Indian head massage” techniques to the part of treatment if you would like to.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I’m absolutely proud of making people smile when their pain/stress goes away. I love to be a part of the process that improves their physical and mental health.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy treating all cases but my favourite one, is “back, neck, shoulder pain with tension headache.” Every time I deal with these cases, I strive to relieve the tension headaches by using trigger point techniques to reduce/eliminate their referral pain patterns. It always surprises my patients! I believe that many people are facing this condition because of the extensive working from home, especially during the pandemic. I really enjoy helping them, through massage therapy, to improve their quality of life.
