Acupuncture & Orthotics

Dr. Alina Jandu completed her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, graduating Magna Cum Laude, after completing her Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology from McMaster University.

Dr. Alina treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including sports injuries, acute injuries, chronic pain, and nerve and disc-related conditions. She takes an evidence-informed, patient-centred approach, tailoring treatment and rehabilitation to each individual’s goals, lifestyle, and values. Her treatments may include manual therapy, joint mobilization and manipulation, soft tissue therapy, acupuncture, cupping therapy, taping, and personalized rehabilitation exercises.

These approaches are used to alleviate pain, promote recovery, improve function, and help prevent the recurrence of injury. She is passionate about empowering patients through education and active care to help them feel confident in their movement and overall health.

Dr. Alina has a strong background in fitness and exercise and is a certified group fitness instructor. She incorporates her knowledge of movement and biomechanics into her approach to patient care, helping patients return to the activities they enjoy. Outside of the clinic, you’ll likely find Dr. Alina training for her next race, lifting weights at the gym, trying different group fitness classes, exploring new coffee shops, or spending time with family and friends.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

I believe every patient deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported throughout their care. I take the time to understand each patient’s concerns, goals, and lifestyle so that we can develop a treatment plan that is specific to their needs. I take an active, evidence-informed approach to care, with the goal of not only helping patients feel better, but also giving them the knowledge and tools to feel confident in their health, movement, and ability to return to the activities that are important to them.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

I utilize an evidence-informed approach that combines hands-on treatment with active rehabilitation. My primary areas of treatment include soft tissue therapy, gentle, controlled chiropractic adjustments and mobilizations, and patient-specific rehabilitation exercises.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am most proud of being able to support my patients throughout their journey to better health. Seeing patients make progress, feel more capable, regain confidence in their movement, and return to the activities that are important to them is one of the most rewarding parts of my practice.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy treating a variety of presentations, with a particular interest in sport-related injuries, shoulder pain, low back pain, and headaches. I find these cases especially rewarding because these conditions can have a significant impact on a person’s ability to participate in their everyday activities. Helping patients understand their symptoms and giving them the tools to move with greater confidence is something I find particularly fulfilling.
