Why should clients choose you as their provider?
I believe all of us need someone to understand and support us when we face challenges in life. To me, working as a psychotherapist is more than a job; it reflects a core part of me that truly wants to know more about people at a real level and be able to walk along with them in the journey of recovery. I listen, empathize, and understand my clients without judgement, so clients can have a safe place to be themselves and heal their pain. In addition, I am fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English so clients can engage in therapy in the language that they are most comfortable with.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?
I use a very flexible and integrative approach that puts clients’ individual needs into consideration. Depending on the nature of clients’ concerns, some common intervention models that I would implement include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally-Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), and trauma-informed therapy.

What are you proud of in your practice?
I am most proud of being an active part of my clients’ journey to self-exploration and healing, witnessing the growth that they desire. Additionally, I am proud that I can establish a trusting therapeutic relationship with my clients, so they can feel safe and comfortable working with me.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
Too many to list! To name a few, I enjoy working with parents that are struggling to foster their child’s development, individuals that are seeking help for their mental health issues such as depression and anxiety, trauma survivors that are trying to move through their pain and persevere, as well as families that are looking forward to build more positive relationship with each other. I have a deep interest in the field of developmental disabilities, so I also love to work with individuals with special needs and their families in achieving their goals.
