Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?
As a practitioner of Oriental Medicine, I specialize in JuHeng Acupuncture (Korean Traditional Acupuncture style). I have studied under Master Chung, Youn Koo in my continuing education of JuHeng Acupuncture for over 10 years. The authenticity of its content has been recognized and handed down in Korea from one dynasty to the next. The value of JuHeng Acupuncture rests in its ability to re-establish the body’s harmonious balance.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?
My acupuncture treatment works to balance and harmonize the whole body. I use cupping treatment to relieve muscle pain. In addition, I use moxibustion treatment as a traditional heat therapy using the herb, Artemisia Vulgaris to promote circulation, warm up the body system and reduce inflammation. My treatment reinforces the body’s natural healing.

What are you proud of in your practice?
I am thankful for being able to serve the community with the gift of acupuncture. By creating a calm and tranquil healing environment, my patients are better able to release daily stressors and focus on restoring the body’s innate ability to heal. The goal of my practice and research restores patients’ well being as well as healthy lifestyle through treatment.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
My experience at IWD in NYU helped my research and practice to focus on Women’s health and internal medicine, including a broad range of conditions such as:

  • Endocrine disorders (thyroid, adrenal, hormonal imbalance)
  • Digestive issues (heart burn, indigestion, abdominal bloating, IBS, Crohn’s disease, constipation)
  • Gynecological issues (irregular/painful periods, fibroids, endometriosis, PCOS, PMS)
  • Infertility
  • Insomnia
  • Emotional conditions (anxiety, stress, depression, ADD/ADHD)
  • Weight management

I have specialized in pain management as a licensed acupuncturist at a New York City pain management clinic, as well as at St. Vincent Hospital, specializing in rehabilitation and treating pain related conditions such as:

  • Low back pain
  • Sciatica
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Shoulder & Neck pain
  • Headache/Migraine
  • Knee pain
