Yonge & Bloor | Dr. Céline Wong, DC
Dr. Wong received her Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. In addition, she received her Honours Degree in Science from the University of Waterloo.
Growing up, Dr. Wong was involved in all sorts of sports ranging from ballet to Tae Kwon Do, to team sports like basketball, volleyball, etc. She found a passion fo rugby which she pursued from high school up until the varsity level at the University of Waterloo. Playing all these sports, Dr. Wong has had her fair share of injuries and from these setbacks she has learned how to come back better, stronger and pain-free. Now that Dr. Wong is a retired rugby player, she spends most of her time playing volleyball and basketball. If you don’t find her on the court, then you’ll probably see her posting food stories on Instagram!
Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?
I believe that the patient comes first and it’s important to get the patient back to what they love doing or what they need to do. My goal is to achieve my patient’s goals, but while also in a fun and positive environment. I want my patients leaving my office feeling better, and also educated on ways to self-manage their pain while also improving their functioning in day to day activities and their favourite hobbies.
What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?
I like to focus on myofascial release therapy, rehabilitation and chiropractic adjustments/mobilizations. I believe that the combination of these 3 components are important in patient recovery and prevention!
Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
I will treat anything musculoskeletal related from head to toe! However, particular communities I enjoy are the weekend warriors or athletes that are looking to increase their performance and be able to excel at their sport!
