Yuan (Anna) Gao, RAc, RMT
I have completed over 2400 hours in acupuncture and biomedicine in Eight Branches Eastern Academy of Chinese Medicine, as well as 2200 hours in advanced massage therapy in Centennial College with honours. Currently, I am in my 4th year of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) study, further exploring how I can best integrate Chinese herbal medicine with acupuncture in healing from the root, from within to deliver a better and long-lasting result.
Yuan (Anna) Gao is registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO) and College of Massage Therapist of Ontario (CMTO).
Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?
I provide Japanese style acupuncture and moxibustion, which uses gentler painless techniques, allows shorter visits, and a more long-lasting effect. This style allows me to receive direct feedback from the patient by listening to the abdominal and pulse diagnosis and leaves the patient feeling calm at the end of each treatment.
I have extensive experience in working with fertility patients trying naturally or going through procedures such as IUI, IVF, which allows me to incorporate the individualized fertility acupuncture that works with their cycle protocol to minimize side effects from medication, increase circulation, reduce stress, improve egg and sperm quality and most importantly, improve fertility potential.
What are the top 3 treatments that you specialize in?
- Japanese style acupuncture and moxibustion
- Fertility acupuncture
- Pain management and rehabilitation
What are you proud of in your practice?
I pride myself in providing a patient-centred and individualized approach. I love seeing them having light bulb moments when I join the dots that what they feel physically and emotionally has a valid reason. My goal is to provide my patients with knowledge and tools in their unique wellness journey to help them restore balance in health and regain a sense of control in life, so they could feel their best and do what they love.
Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
I enjoy treating each case as every patient presents with unique symptoms and underlying root patterns. Every patient teaches me something and challenges me to be a better person and practitioner. Whatever the case is though, I do enjoy the most having patients tell me how much better they felt after treatment and being able to do things they love again.
I focus on treating various internal medicine, women’s health and pain conditions.
I look forward to getting to know you and helping you navigate your wellness journey together.
